GET READY FOR YOUR FIRST CLASS.

So you’ve booked into your first class at Good Moves. Hooray! Now what?

It’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous before starting something new or if it’s been a while since you’ve joined a gym or new studio. We get it. This is why we’ve created our handy guide to help you prepare for your first class so you can smash out any of the pre-class jitters and set yourself up for success!

Check it out below.

a handy guide to preparing for your first class.

Step 1.

If it’s your very first class with us at Good Moves, or it’s your first time ever on a reformer, then we recommend trying our signature REFORMER TOTAL class first, then giving the other styles on the schedule a crack.

FYI: Our classes are open to all levels, no matter your experience or fitness level. All of our friendly instructors are experts at offering plenty of options and variations so you can move and progress at whatever pace feels good for you.

step 2.

Familiarise yourself with the studio you’ve booked into and check out our STUDIO page for the address. Work out how you will get there and suss out the available parking ahead of time so you don’t get caught out before class.

step 3.

Arrive to your first class 10 minutes early to allow enough time to meet your instructor and get to know the reformer.

Our studio doors close right on the start time of the class and there is no late entry. This is to ensure that classes start and finish on time and there are no interruptions so all class participants can maximise their 45-minute feel-good workout!

step 4.

Make sure you bring a towel, water bottle and pair of grip socks ready for your class (you can purchase these in-studio before class!) & leave your phone in your bag. Our classes are phone-free zones.

If you’ve booked an early morning class, we also recommend getting everything ready the night before so all you have to do is wake up, get dressed, and go!
